About Terms and Conditions Template

We started this because getting legal docs for your website should not require a lawyer, a $200/month subscription, or copying someone else’s T&C and hoping for the best.

Terms and Conditions Template is a free generator that builds customized legal documents for your website or app. You answer questions about your business, we produce the document. It takes a few minutes, not a few weeks.

What we build

We currently have generators for 6 core legal documents. The ones most websites need:

  • Terms & Conditions - the rules for using your website or app
  • Privacy Policy - how you collect and handle personal data
  • Cookie Policy - your use of cookies and tracking tech
  • EULA - software license agreements for apps and software products
  • Disclaimer - liability limits, affiliate disclosures, professional advice caveats
  • Refund Policy - clear return and refund rules for your customers

We are focused on keeping these six documents accurate, practical, and easy to generate.

Why we built it

Most legal document tools are either too simple (a static template you copy-paste with no customization) or too expensive (subscriptions that cost more than your hosting bill). Neither is great for a solo founder or a small business that just needs to get compliant and move on.

Our generator asks relevant questions - your business type, what data you collect, where your users are based, what platforms you use - and produces a document that matches your actual situation. It is not perfect legal advice, but it is a solid starting point that covers the major requirements for most businesses.

Free to start

Generating a document is free. A free account is required to save your documents, update them as your business changes, and access all 6 generators in one place.

These documents are generated based on your inputs and general legal requirements. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney. If your business is in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare, legal services) or operates across multiple jurisdictions with complex compliance needs, you should review the generated documents with a lawyer.

For most small websites, apps, and online stores, what we generate is exactly what you need.
